Meet the Owner
Bryan Jones, the founder and lead craftsman at Black Flag Building Co., brings hands-on experience and a deep respect for service to every project. As the owner, he oversees every build, ensuring that each deck reflects the high standards of quality and honor the company stands for.
THE JOURNEY
With nearly 17 years of experience in Special Operations as a Navy SARC (Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman), Bryan served in multiple countries and is a retired disabled combat veteran. Originally from Ohio before his military service, Bryan is a family man, married with two children. While his family recently said goodbye to their beloved Basset mix, their Giant Schnauzer remains a loyal companion who may occasionally make a guest appearance in his project videos.
Black Flag Building Co. draws its name and inspiration from the American “thin line” flag—most commonly recognized as the black-and-white flag accented with colored lines representing different branches of first responders, including law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and military personnel. Each line stands as a symbol of sacrifice and service for their community. For Bryan, this symbolism is deeply personal.
The name “Black Flag” reflects both his military background and his commitment to honoring those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. It represents resilience, unity, and respect for individuals who answer the call to serve—values that are embedded into the foundation of the company.
By choosing this name, Bryan set out to build more than a construction business—he created a brand with purpose. Every project completed under the Black Flag name is a tribute to the discipline, sacrifice, and integrity demonstrated by veterans and first responders. It’s a constant reminder that the same level of dedication and pride carried in service should be reflected in every structure he builds.
